Bridget & Stew

Bridget and Stewart met in February of 2021. At the time, the quarantine period during COVID19 was being finally lifted, and the two of them attended a worship service together. Bridget with her friends, and Stewart by himself. She noticed a boy sitting alone, wearing a mask, and feeling isolated in a place where he knew nobody. At that moment Holy Spirit led Bridget to go talk to him, just to invite him to worship with her friends. When she came over, he thought she was very pretty, and agreed to sit with her and her friends. Later that night, Bridget invited Stewart to come meet her friends for ice cream in Denver. Many of whom had a role in Young Life, and many of whom became Stewarts best friends, some of them also became his groomsmen.

Stewart quickly became involved more with Bridget and her friends, and he equally became more involved in Young Life. Eventually deciding to join Summer Staff, and later deciding to become a leader. 

​

Stewart and Bridget started off just as friends. Both having crushes on each other at various points in their friendship. But eventually Stewart finally got the courage to ask Bridget out. However, God knew it was not the time, and she told him no. 

​

During those months after, the Lord transformed both Stewart and Bridget's lives separately. And after a lot of time had passed, Stewart knew that he wanted to ask Bridget out on a date. After hours of prayer, and waiting for the right answer from God, he heard something that took him by surprise. The Lord made it clear to Stewart, that if Bridget was worth it, then he had to take the initiative and pursue her himself. He had to be the one to choose her. And at that point, Stewart needed no more answers, he knew what he needed to do. ​

Stewart asked Bridget out and she said yes.

 

​Since then their relationship has been an adventure, of choosing to serve the Lord and one another. Which eventually, led us to where we are now. Happily engaged, and so excited to celebrate this next chapter together, and with you all.
